Most message boards have a user ranking system, based on the user's number of posts. Since our focus is living organically, and much of that involves plants, we decided on a simple user ranking system which reflects the various divisions of plants within each group.

Each division has a minimum numbers of posts which will qualify you for that group. As your post number increases, you will attain ever higher divisions.

When you first sign up, even before you post, you will be a member of Chlorophyta (green algae). Upon your first post, you'll move up to Charaphyta, and with successively more posts, up through the ranks, all the way to Magnoliophyta, at 20,000 posts!

That's quite a lot!

Don't worry, though, as any regular poster will easily go through the first half of these ranks in just a few weeks. After that, the bar is raised a little higher, but there remains steady progression as a user continues to post.
